Snore-Ex's anti snoring mouthpiece is an oral appliance also referred to as a Mandibular Advancement Device. Little Pricey for a Reasonable Solution
This is my 2nd purchase on this type of device. It can take a little getting use to, but definitely works for me. I find in the morning, my lower front teeth can feel a little sensitive given they've had pressure on them throughout the night, but that goes away 15 min after waking up and removing the device. My spouse reports the the device is probably 80-90% effective. There are sometimes when I get on my back that the snoring noise level will go up. For the most part, we think of it as a muffler. I still snore , but it's at a much reduced and tolerable level. The $25-$30 price level is definitely a high price for a simple molded piece of plastic and a wooden stick, but I haven't found another source for a lower price, so I shell out the money. My first oral appliance lasted about 18 months. Some report that they only last 6-12 months. I make sure to wash mine off every day. 18 months is definitely at the upper end. I'd say a good replacement estimate is probably every 12 months.

I bought this device for my husband. I would give it the five stars, but my husband said it did hurt the first few nights. I said suck it up, I want to sleep! LOL. It worked almost instantly. He has not snored since! Love it. I will buy it again. You must boil it first to soften. He now says it is fine.

This device was easy to mold with very good directions. My husband has been using it with very good success as he sleeps deeper and more restfully. Though not diagnosed, I believe he has some sleep apnea and he flat out refused to get tested as he wouldn't use a c-pap device anyway. I have noticed his sleep patterns improved and he noticed the difference because he dreams so much more.

I've been wearing this kind of mouthpiece for a little over a year. My girlfriend -- who is a very light sleeper -- says that they do reduce my snoring quite a bit. I've been going through one about every 5-6 months, which from what I understand is about average. I like this one more than the previous two (from another manufacturer) because its made of a softer material, and I don't feel any soreness in my jaw when I wake up. So I'm more inclined to wear it, which means that both of us sleep better. And the price is very reasonable!
