Not a Good Product for the Money
I purchased this for a friend and assembled it at home. First, the photo on the box looks much better than the fountain itself. The actual unit is merely inexpensive plastic. The lighting, orange in its tint, is generated by a tiny bulb that can't seen if you're standing above eye level. Otherwise, you can see a glaring orange pinpoint of light rather than a diffuse and calming lighting effect. As this unit is likely to be set on a shelf or book case, this can be a problem.
The biggest issue is that the fountain defeats its own purpose. Rather than creating a soothing waterfall acoustic effect, the motor is nearly as loud as the barely audible sound of flowing water. Honestly, sitting at my computer I'm not sure sure whether I'm hearing the hum of my hard drive or the fountain motor. What I can barely here from eight feet away is any traceable sound of water.
There have to be better fountains out there for the money. At the moment, I'm torn between presenting it to my friend with apologies or simply taking the unit back to the store.
Perfect for my needs..so pretty and stylish
I wanted a small fountain with lights for my home. This one is perfect. Runs great, looks beautiful with a soft orange hue light that illuminates the water. Makes a nice water tricking sound, not too loud and this fountain doesn't 'spit' all over the counter like other ones I have owned in the past. This unit plugs in and has a switch for on/off so you don't have to unplug it each time you are done, just flip the switch. Has a very nice modern look to it. Goes great with asian decor or modern styles. I'm digging this one and turn it on almost every day...my little bit of Zen!!
Turned my bedroom into a spa...
I love the serene sound of trickling water over the natural rocks. The lighting is subdued which makes for a peaceful ambiance. The motor is still. It's like I brought the spa home to my bedroom.
am very unhappy
I had a similar product earlier and it had beautiful blue glowing lights, but when i purchased this it had "Orange" lights which doesnt go well with my home decor, i had to discard this product

Great product. Looks cheap when you are putting the plastic pieces together but the finished product looks really nice!
